Paddle Two Sisters' Islands and Beer Can Island

Launching from The Coquina South Boat Ramp (see photo) we'll paddle around the Two Sisters' Islands then make our way under the Longboat Pass Bridge to Beer Can Island aka Greer Island to relax before returning to the launch. This is a good area for seeing manatees, dolphins and the occasional shark.

This is mostly open water so suitable for paddlers with 3-6 months experience. The biggest hazard is motor boat traffic.

Directions: If you're coming from the south, it's 3/10's of a mile from the top of the Longboat Pass bridge to the turn for the boat ramp( that's the photo above). It's right across the street from the Coquina Beach entrance and the ramp is on the bay side at 1507 Gulf Dr. S., Bradenton Beach, Fl.

BRING: Kayak/SUP, PFD and whistle (state law), paddle, sunscreen, water, snack, etc.
