Breaking Bias: Thinking Clearly in a Complex World

Cognitive biases are a normal part of human thinking. They are mental shortcuts that are often useful, but not always reliable. They cannot be eliminated, but they can be managed through awareness, reflection, and intentional habits. We cannot expect to be perfectly objective, but we can learn to be more aware of the limitations of our thinking. As we genuinely consider our own perspectives and those of others with care, we become better thinkers, better communicators, and better decision-makers.
