Solstice Walk in Balboa Park

December 16 is a few days before the winter solstice, and a lovely day for a walk together. Sundown occurs at 4:48 pm on this day, so let's gather at 4 PM for an amble and chat in the glorious long shadows of a magnificent Balboa Park twilight.

This walk is around 3 miles, along an easy route along chair-accessible sidewalks and NOT hiking trails. If it's chilly, please bring whatever accoutrements you need to be warm and comfortable.

We are meeting at the Sixth Avenue Playground in the redwoods at Sixth Ave & Spruce St. This is a 3.1 mile walk which we will endeavor to complete in a mere 90 minutes. See map pin.
