Women Who Write and Critique

Are you a female writer looking for support, community, fun, and thoughtful, constructive feedback? Do you want a space to read your work aloud and discuss your writing journey in a FEMALE-ONLY, supportive environment? This group may be a great fit.
All reading and critiquing happens during the Meetup itself—no advance reading required. This allows us to respond to the work in real time, ask questions, and explore what’s working (and what isn’t) right in the moment.
All genres and forms of creative writing are welcome. We follow the Sunday Assembly San Diego spirit of “we welcome all who welcome all,” so content that targets or marginalizes vulnerable groups (e.g., racism, homophobia, sexism) isn’t a fit for this space.
This is a female‑only group. To maintain a comfortable and secure environment, all participants must be female and must appear on camera with their first name visible.
To keep the group supportive and productive, this Meetup is best suited for intermediate‑level writers—females who are actively writing, revising, and ready for thoughtful, craft‑focused feedback. While we’re friendly and encouraging, this is not a beginner or instruction‑heavy group.
We have a five‑person limit, so reliability matters. Members who RSVP and no‑show three times (without canceling) will be removed to make room for others. Last‑minute cancellations can prevent someone else from attending, so please update your RSVP as early as possible.
For safety and community connection, attendees must display their first name and appear on camera. Please arrive within 10 minutes of the start time; after that, your spot may be offered to someone on the waitlist.
