Worldwide Day of Play for Kids & Families
Details
We invite you and your little one(s) to join us for the Worldwide Day of Play, a free outdoor event hosted by the New Children's Museum in downtown San Diego!
Here's their description:
Presented in partnership with the Association of Children’s Museums and Nickelodeon, the day will feature hands-on art, sports inflatables, loose parts play, bubbles, chalk drawing, block building and other opportunities for kids and grown-ups to play together. Families can pick up a Play Passport when they arrive and collect stamps as they visit activities throughout the park. A dedicated toddler area at Tree for Littles will include storytimes and a parent-and-me Music & Movement activity with the San Diego Youth Symphony ChIMES program. Community partners will also be onsite, along with prize wheel giveaways from OOLY and Tubby Todd. Stop by for an activity or spend the day exploring the different ways children and adults can create, move and play.
This event is open to the public 9AM-3PM, and some of our Sunday Assembly San Diego families will be there in the morning. Please RSVP here on Meetup so that we know you're coming, and when you arrive look for Steve and/or Rachel -- they'll be wearing black Sunday Assembly t-shirts!
If you're driving, there is usually ample meter/paid parking on nearby streets and surface lots. If you're taking transit, the park is a short walk from the Convention Center trolley station.
