What we’re about
Live better. Help often. Wonder more. SASV is an inclusive secular community, meaning we don’t advocate for any religious or spiritual beliefs whatsoever. We respect people of all beliefs. Whether you are agnostic, atheist, humanist, or a believer, you're welcome to celebrate life with us!
SASV meets at the Masonic Lodge in Mountain View on the 2nd Sunday of each month for uplifting singalongs, informative talks, and a potluck social. We also have a variety of other activities throughout the month.

See all- Potluck Brunch at Eagle ParkEagle Park, Mountain View, CA
Join your SASV friends at this monthly Sunday brunch! Now that we're heading into warmer weather, we'll be sharing a potluck meal instead of going to a local restaurant. Please join us!
Where? Eagle Park, (diagonally across from the Mountain View-De Anza Masonic Lodge). We will be at the NE corner (closest to the Lodge) or near the playground (especially if kids are attending).
What to bring? A lawn chair or a blanket to sit on; there is a picnic table, but seating is limited). If you plan to eat, bring your own beverage/plate/bowl/utensils/napkins, etc., and a dish to share. Extra lawn chairs are appreciated.
SASV small group events are usually attended by a small subset of our membership, but newcomers are welcome. SASV activities are intended to support the growth of personal connections and friendships within the larger SASV community.

Note: Brunch is a small group event, but Assembly is our main event, held at 11:00 AM on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Follow the link to learn more. - Downtown Dance & DineCivic Center Plaza, Mountain View, CA
One of the best things about our Sunday assemblies is the chance to dance. But they only happen once a month. The City of Mountain View has more staff than we do, has money to hire bands (and a sound crew), and it has a BIG outdoor space where people can sit, stand, and dance. During the summer, there's a concert most every Friday evening outside City Hall.
So let's join the crowd. Let's gather briefly before the concert starts, dance 'till we're tired, then gather again and troop over to a nearby restaurant and replace all that energy we burned off. I'd like to do this most Fridays until the end of September, but we'll see how things go.
Here's what I want you to know:
- We'll meet by the Event Information booth. It's easy to find: look for a yellow canopy. I'll wear my teal Sunday Assembly shirt.
- First time, I'll have a restaurant pre-chosen. Later, I'll consult you.
- You may want to bring a cushion or folding chair (or the plaza may already be full ... yeah well).
- You may also want to bring earplugs. At the first concert of the season, they saved my ears; later, the volume was more bearable.
- You may not want to bring your dancing slippers. One word: concrete.
- Nobody will ask for proof that you live in MV.
