Ian has toured the U.S., performing at such well known clubs as The Ice House in L.A. and The Punch Line in S.F. He is known for integrating skepticism and critical thinking into his act, and, in fact, recorded a comedy special with the title "Ian Harris - Critical & Thinking". He has been seen at such illustrious events as the 2013 American Humanist Association National Convention and as an MC at a few of our very own sister congregations, including SA Los Angeles & SA San Diego.
And, in the "Where else but in Silicon Valley" category:
FEATURED SPEAKER: SANDERSON JONES!
Coming to us live from London, via robot, will be Sanderson Jones, co-founder of Sunday Assembly. Sanderson will join us through an almost human-size robot that uses interactive video and audio and allows the user to control movement.
Customized Double Robotics Robot courtesy of Andra Keay. For once, Sanderson will be shorter than the average Sunday Assembler.
We can't wait to hear (and see!) what Sanderson has to share with us about the recent world wide launch of 35 new Assemblies, and other nifty things happening in the Sunday Assembly universe. Robot Sanderson will also "hang out" afterwards for chats and pics. Too bad he can't join us for a beer at the San Pedro Square Market!
Of course, we will also have the live and lavish sounds of our own Lovely Hearts Club Band, lots of singing together, children's activities, & anniversary goodies for sale.
To make this event even more special - we'll be seated cabaret style, and munching (during Assembly!) on appetizers - think pot luck finger food followed by birthday cake (what else!).
Please bring something to share for our appetizer potluck, if you can:
Light savory finger-food snacks like chips, veggies & dip, Vegan & Gluten free appetizers, fruit, or Cheese & Crackers.
We are singing:
I'm A Believer
Best Day of My Life
Lean On Me
Always Look on the Bright Side of Life
