Program
Do you find that you’re always reaching for your phone? Checking your smartwatch every time you get a notification?
Our world is hyperconnected. The technology that makes that possible blurs the boundaries between work and rest—leading to stress, fatigue, and burnout. Emily Bersaglia will lead a talk based on one by cognitive neuroscientist, Dr. Sahar Yousef at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. It explores how our digital habits contribute to mental exhaustion and offers practical, science-backed strategies to set boundaries, recharge, and use tech in ways that support our well-being rather than undermine it.
Emily is a nationally certified school psychologist working in the Bay Area. She has been practicing since 2009, serving students across four states. Emily is active in local, state, and national school psychology endeavors. She has found herself serving in various leadership positions in her district, particularly related to addressing issues of equity and disproportionality.
