Program
Have you ever read a zine? A zine (pronounced like the last syllable in "magazine") is a self-published, small-circulation, often handmade print publication, usually devoted to a niche topic and created by and for an audience of enthusiasts. Zines emerged as an art form decades ago, and zine culture continues to survive and thrive.

SASV Member Lindsey Kuper will talk about her experience making zines with her students about their work, joining a long tradition of people who make zines for scientific and technical communication. She'll talk about how and why they got into zine making, some things she's learned in the process, and why you might want to try making zines yourself. She'll also bring some copies of their zines to give away!

*Please note, next month's Assembly will be May 3rd, instead of the usual 2nd Sunday*
