Help Often Weekend Series - Solidarity Sandy Springs Food Bank

Details

Welcome to Sunday Assembly Atlanta’s Help Often weekend series! Join us the second weekend of every month as we live out an important part of our motto, which is to “Live Better, Help Often, and Wonder More” in this one life we know we have.

Solidarity Sandy Springs is dedicated to helping reduce the impact of food insecurity on individuals and families by providing access to fresh, nutritious food choices while creating opportunities for all community members to serve and build meaningful relationships.

Volunteers will unload trucks, set up the Pantry for service, give away food, and engage with the shoppers, ending with lunch for volunteers.

Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 9 years or older to volunteer. All volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Physical Requirements: Volunteers must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Some individuals may be asked to lift boxes up to 40 pounds.

Dress Code: Closed-toe closed-heel shoes are required.

Parking: They are located in the back of The Sandy Springs Plaza. Enter on Johnson Ferry Rd, follow the road around the back. They are on the rear left side. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE FRONT OF THE PLAZA.
