“May you live in interesting times” has been described as a curse. We are living in interesting times. We are in the midst of a public health crisis, an economic crisis, a time of renewed awareness of racial injustice, and a time of deep political divisions which have kept our country from dealing with these crises effectively. And events are continuing to change to create uncertainty about how things will be next week, much less in a couple of months. As of this writing, we are a few days past the sacking of the Capitol Building by a group of citizens of this country who were emboldened by the falsehood that the election was stolen. On the day of this month’s assembly, we will be three days away from the inauguration of a new president who will hopefully lead us into times that are less interesting.

At our January Assembly we will focus on talking with one another at length about how we are handling all this uncertainty in our day to day lives. We will also have music, a reading or two, an "I Am Doing My Best" plus "Life Happens." I so hope you will join us!

Assemblies

Alongside our main speaker, assemblies are lively events with thoughtful musings on the theme, live music from our band, members sharing their experiences, and interaction with fellow assemblers! The assembly lasts around 75 minutes.

Assemblies, and the events around them, are open to the public and free to attend!

What To Bring

After the assembly, around 7:00 PM, we'll have informal social time where you can catch up or get to know folks in the community and discuss the theme.

Accommodations and Location

We are virtual until we feel it is very safe to hold in-person large gatherings again.
