Classical Indian Dance Workshop for All - with Kathak Dance Guru Kajal Sharma

I'm delighted to announce that we will have a workshop on Classical Indian Dance on Saturday 13th July, 2.30-4.30pm in the Cross Street Unitarian Chapel.

The workshop will be led by Kajal Sharma (in photo), a professional Kathak dancer and close student of the late Pandit Birju Maharaj, the leading Kathak dancer in India. Kathak is a unique fusion of Indian dance with Persian elements, including beautiful Whirling movements. It is unique as a dance form appreciated by Muslims and well as Hindus, and can be used to express sufi ghazals alongside bhakti devotional themes. Tickets will be £15/£12 on the door, only to cover costs - all our events are not for profit.
