Sunday Mornings With Rumi

Details
A friendly fortnightly conversation about the poems of Rumi, his teachings, and our own lives. Rumi was one of the world's greatest poets of love, friendship and hope. He was born near Balkh in Afghanistan and lived most of his life in Konya, Turkey, where he was famous both as an inspiring teacher of Islamic mysticism and as a lover of music as a doorway to the Divine Beloved.
Our Sunday sessions are an open-minded exploration of Rumi's poetry and the associations, stories and ideas they spark in us. We bring head and heart together to explore the meaning and possibilities in our own lives, with Rumi as a helpful friend encouraging us to question and to listen from the heart.
All are welcome. We meet in the cafe of Manchester Art Gallery on Mosley Street, 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Gardens towards St Peters Square.

Every 2 weeks on Sunday until August 22, 2025
