### Can you walk around Brussels in one summer?

After last year's successful edition, we're bringing back the Promenade Verte Summer Challenge.

Over seven Saturdays this summer, we'll follow Brussels' iconic Green Walk and gradually complete a full circle around the Brussels-Capital Region — exploring forests, valleys, parks, nature reserves and hidden green spaces while sharing the journey with fellow adventurers.

Our first stage takes us through the beautiful Woluwe Valley, one of the greenest and most scenic sections of the route.

This is not a race and it's not just a hike.

It's a chance to slow down, spend time outdoors, meet new people, discover a different side of Brussels and be part of a shared summer challenge.

We'll start in the afternoon so everyone can enjoy a relaxed Saturday morning before joining us for nature, conversations and the beautiful golden light of a summer evening.

Whether you're an expat, an international professional, a local explorer or someone simply looking for a great community experience, you're welcome to join us.

The Promenade Verte is a green route of more than 60 kilometres that circles the entire Brussels Region.

Throughout Summer 2026, our goal is to complete the full loop together, one section at a time.

## 🚶 Plan

14:00 – Welcome & introductions

Meet fellow participants and hear about the Summer Challenge.

14:15 – Start of the walk

We'll follow a section of the Promenade Verte through the Woluwe Valley.

Throughout the afternoon

• Social walking groups

Golden Hour Experience

As the evening approaches, we'll enjoy some of the most beautiful summer light along the route.

Around 19:30–20:00

End of the walk.

Participants are welcome to continue the evening with an optional drink afterwards.

Moderate to Difficult

This event is not suitable for beginners.

Participants should be comfortable hiking approximately 21 km per day over uneven terrain with elevation changes.

## 🏕 Accommodation

We'll stay for 3 nights in a campsite located close to the hiking trail.

Please don't expect luxury accommodation. The campsite offers all the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay after long hiking days.

Each bungalow contains:

• One room with two separate single beds
• One room with one double bed

Participants may choose their preferred room type, subject to availability.

Allocation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Availability:

• 4 Single-sharing places
• 6 Double-sharing places

Restaurant options along the hiking routes are limited.

We'll stop whenever suitable opportunities arise, but participants are encouraged to carry snacks and sufficient water throughout the hikes.
