Let’s escape the city and dive into the rich history, scenic beauty, and delicious tastes of southern Belgium! On this one-day journey, we’ll enjoy guided tours in Maredsous Abbey and Namur Citadel ,uncovering centuries of local heritage—followed by some well-earned local beer and cheese!

### 🕘 Program

• Meet at 7:00 to 7:15 at Brussels Shuman Station and take the train departs at 7:23 to Namur, or join us in Namur or Maredsous Abbey
• Travel together to Maredsous Abbey (60 mins by bus)

Morning – Maredsous Abbey (with guide)

• Guided visit of the neo-Gothic Abbey, founded in 1872 by Benedictine monks
• Learn about monastic life, the basilica, and the craft of cheesemaking and brewing
• Optional tasting of the famous Maredsous cheese & beer
• Time to relax in the peaceful green surroundings or walk the nearby nature trail

Early Afternoon – Transfer to Namur

• Travel together to Namur Station (~45–60 mins by bus)

Afternoon – Namur Citadel

• The underground passages or the Citadel in the Middle Ages + miniature train + audio-guided Visitor Center (duration +/- 3 hours) + Téléphérique (From Namur station to Citadel)

Evening – Return to Brussels
