Join us for a beautiful autumn hike to one of Belgium’s most stunning viewpoints – Rocher du Hat! Located near Chiny, this moderate hike will take us through the picturesque Ourthe Valley, with its rolling hills, dense forests, and breathtaking river views.

As we make our way to the top, we’ll enjoy the vibrant autumn colors and the peaceful ambiance of the Ardennes region. The trail is approximately 10 km round trip, with some uphill sections, but the incredible panoramic view from Rocher du Hat will make it all worth it!

• Distance: ~13 km round trip
• Difficulty: Moderate (suitable for hikers with some experience)
• What to Bring:
• Comfortable hiking shoes
• Water and snacks
• A light jacket or layers (it might be chilly)
• Optional: Camera to capture the stunning views!

This hike offers some of the best autumn scenery in Belgium, and Rocher du Hat is the perfect place to enjoy the golden and red hues of the season. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to meet new people, get some fresh air, and have a fantastic time in nature.

🕖 Schedule

7:30–7:45 : Meet at Brussels Shuman train station (in front of Shop & Go Metro Schuman)
7:52 : Train to Libramont → Florenville
10:30 - 12:30 : Hike to Rocher du Hat & Chiny
13:00 - 14:30 : Lunch break in Chiny
14:30 - 16:30 : Hike along the Semois back to Florenville
16:40 : Train back (arrival 19:30 in Brussels)
→ If missed, next train arrives around 21:30
