🇩🇪 Scenic Hike & Lunch in Monschau (Germany)

Join us for a beautiful day trip to Monschau, one of the most charming historic villages in the German Eifel region. With its half-timbered houses, narrow cobbled streets, and river valley scenery, Monschau feels like stepping into a fairy tale.

Only about 2 hours from Brussels, it’s a perfect destination for a relaxed nature hike followed by a cozy lunch together in town.

This outing is part of our Sunday Vacations community hikes, bringing together international professionals and explorers from Brussels.

## 🌿 The Plan

Morning

• Train from Brussels to Eupen
• Bus to Monschau

Once we arrive, we will start a scenic hike through the hills and forests around Monschau.

Expect:

• forest trails
• river views
• viewpoints over the valley
• a relaxed social pace

Distance will be approximately 8–12 km, depending on conditions and the group.

## 🍽 Lunch in Monschau

After the hike we will return to town and have lunch together at 13:30 in Monschau.

You’ll have the chance to enjoy:

• traditional German / Eifel cuisine
• cozy historic cafés
• beautiful terrace views if the weather allows

Participation in the lunch is optional but highly recommended — it’s usually the most social moment of the day.
