MONT SAINT-MICHEL - GRANDES MAREES AND SUNSET ABBEY WEEKEND
Details
Mont Saint-Michel, Normandy, France
One weekend. Exceptional tides. A special evening at the Abbey. Sunset, sunrise and great company.
We are heading to Mont Saint-Michel during the Grandes Marees, when exceptionally high tides transform the famous bay.
September 12 - 13 is one of only 5 - 6 dates in 2026 with tide coefficients above 100 , the legendary Grandes Marées. In under two hours, the sea rushes in and swallows miles of exposed sand, cutting the fortress off and turning it into a true island. Rare, dramatic, and one of the best photo opportunities you'll get all year.
We planned this experience well ahead.
Sunday Vacations secured our rooms in La Caserne almost one year in advance, right beside the pedestrian route and shuttle to Mont Saint-Michel. Free hotel cancellation until 4 September so we'll close registrations by then. Solo joiners are very welcome.
