Join Sunday Vacations for a different kind of day out in Wallonia: historic steam locomotives, countryside views, railway heritage, a lively festival atmosphere and a group of international people to experience it with.

We’re heading to Mariembourg for the Festival Vapeur 2026, organised by the Chemin de Fer à Vapeur des 3 Vallées (CFV3V).

## 🌿 Experience overview

For one weekend, the historic railway between Mariembourg and Treignes comes alive for one of Belgium’s special railway events.

Four historic locomotives - SACM, BR-64, AD09 and ELNA - are announced for the festival, alongside musical entertainment, railway modelling, food options, an artisan market in Treignes and other activities.

But you definitely don't need to be a train enthusiast.

For us, this is about slowing down, discovering a lesser-known corner of Belgium and sharing an unusual experience with new people.

Come solo, bring a friend, meet the group — and enjoy the ride. 🌿

## 🚂 Ready to escape Brussels for the day?

Sometimes you don't need a flight or a long weekend to feel somewhere completely different.

A steam locomotive, the Walloon countryside and a group of people you haven't met yet can be enough.

👉 RSVP and join us for the ride.

Come for the experience. Stay for the connections. 🌿🌍
