Peaceful late-afternoon walk through one of Brussels’ most elegant parks - where golden leaves, quiet lakes, and Belle Époque charm meet the fading autumn light.
We’ll follow an easy loop trail around Parc de Woluwe, tracing the gentle Woluwe River that divides Woluwe-Saint-Pierre and Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. After the walk, we’ll gather for a warm drink at 1150 ClubHouse (our meeting and parking spot).
Expect calm views, friendly faces, and that perfect Sunday Vacations mix of nature, culture, and connection. 🌿✨

As the days grow shorter and the leaves turn amber and gold, join us for a peaceful late - afternoon walk through Parc de Woluwe - one of Brussels’ most elegant green spaces, where history, nature, and urban life quietly intertwine.
Created between 1896 and 1898 during the Belle Époque, Woluwe Park was part of King Leopold II’s grand vision to weave nature into the modern city. Designed along Avenue de Tervuren, it formed a landscaped link between Brussels and Tervuren’s Colonial Museum - a reflection of an era that believed beauty and progress could coexist, just before Europe’s long peace gave way to the Great War.
The park follows the gentle course of the Woluwe River, whose waters were dammed to create a chain of graceful lakes. The river itself forms the natural boundary between Woluwe-Saint-Pierre and Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, a quiet frontier that still divides the two communes today.
In autumn, this landscape transforms into a living painting - golden reflections on the water, the scent of wood and damp earth, and the calm rhythm of early evening light. We’ll follow an easy loop trail through the park, ending our walk with cozy after-drinks at the 1150 ClubHouse.
