Sunday SFV Brunchers 30's and 40's

This is a San Fernando Valley (and surrounding area) based brunch group for positive minded people aged 30 through 49. It is my intention to have this be a fun and enjoyable group for people looking to try new restaurants and meet like-minded people.

A little about the host...

I am new to CA as of June 2025 from Dallas, TX but a MN native. I am loving SoCal so far. I spend most of my time on the beach, enjoying scenic hikes, novice yoga, and reading. I am a fan of HBO series and a good flick. Recommendations are always appreciated. I also have been adopting the healthy California lifestyle by starting to cook from home courtesy of Gwyneth Paltrow's cookbook 'It's All Good'. If you're an avid cook please share your recipes. I am always looking to try something new and adventurous.

For membership you must read and agree to the group rules below.

*Group Rules*

This is a restaurant focused group and there are requirements of the group to accommodate this and ensure the group experiences are positive. Please read and agree to the following for membership approval.

Events are restaurant reservations (if required) and a 48 hour cancellation policy for all events is in place. If a member fails to cancel within this time period two times they will be removed from the group. All members who miss the window for the first time will receive a warning message of this policy.

All restaurants are chosen by the host based on variety of offerings, popularity/trendiest, and host preference. Because of this, restaurants that do not split/seperate checks are chosen. In the event a restaurant does not split checks ( and will not allow multiple card payments) the host will pay the bill and attendees will Zelle or pay cash for their portion to the host including at least a 10% tip (unless a set tip amount has been added to the bill by the restaurant). This is a risk of the group and will not be checked ahead of time by host. Please come prepared for this.

Additionally some restaurants chosen will have stricter policies such as "no show" fees etc. These events will clearly list these policies and any "no show" fees will be collected in advance by the host via Zelle or through the Meetup app.

The group has a zero tolerance respect policy. No disrespect of members or host will be tolerated at events or via Meetup comments and messages. You will be removed from the group without warning.

Any and all dietary or personal preferences are responsibility of the member. If the restaurant does not accommodate your preferences do not attend that event.

It is a requirement of the group that attendees are aged 30 to 49 (host is 40 as of 2025), have a profile picture of the member, and the member name includes your first name (no numbers, acronyms, business names, or other unidentifiable handles allowed).
