FREE Public Speaking workshop, Sundays 2-4PM @ Spökparken

1 HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Every Sunday we work on a Public Speaking skill related to your VOICE, your BODY or your MIND. We cover a wide range of topics such as Storytelling, Persuasion, Vocal Tone & Improv theater. There’s a different topic every week and a different leader facilitating the workshop.

A typical session is split into 2 parts, the 1st hour being « The Workshop » with exercices & the 2nd hour is « Stage time » which can be Individual speeches with feedback, Debates, Improvised Group scenes or storytelling in front of the audience.

In our club, we focus on mastering the tools, techniques, and best practices for delivering a powerful message - not debating the message itself. That's why we steer clear of politics and other potentially divisive topics, ensuring a respectful and inclusive space for everyone to grow as speakers.

We started in summer of 2016 & Our workshops are in English.

2 WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE BEFORE I COME?

No need to prepare anything, the only requirement is a big smile & positive energy 🥳

3 WHEN & WHERE?

Sundays 14.00 - 16.00. Please Be on time as the warmups & exercises start immediately at 14:00.

During the summer, the sessions are held outdoors at Spökparken. The location might change, so please check the address mentioned in the main event and bring an umbrella when the weather seems rainy ☔️

From September onwards, we will be indoors in a classroom at Folkuniversitet.

4 DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

Our workshops are free during the summer, as our instructors are volunteers and the events are outdoors.

From September onwards we are moving the events indoors at Folkuniversitet. Therefore, we require a small fee from our members to cover the costs of our Meetup-App subscription and the workshop room used during the year. Without it, we can’t keep the Sundays fun 🥳

5 COMMUNITY RULES

⛔️ As we have limited spots, It’s important to update your attendance status to “Going or Not Going” before the event starts. Booking a spot without attending or changing the status will lead to a ban from the group.
