Overeaters Annomous - Sunderland Meeting
Details
Do you struggle with food, eating behaviours, body image, or compulsive eating? You are not alone.
Overeaters Anonymous (OA) is a fellowship of people who support one another in recovering from compulsive eating through the Twelve Step programme. There are no dues or fees for membership; the only requirement is a desire to stop eating compulsively.
Whether you are new to OA, returning after some time away, or a long-time member, you are warmly welcome to join us. Meetings provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment where members can share their experience, strength, and hope.
At this meeting you can expect:
• A welcoming and supportive atmosphere
• Readings from OA-approved literature
• Opportunities to listen and share (sharing is always optional)
• Information about recovery from compulsive eating
• Fellowship with others who understand
Please arrive a few minutes early if possible. Newcomers are especially welcome.
"Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviours and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer."
