Details
Let's face it, life in modern society can be fast-paced, hectic and crazy.
Ours minds and central nervous systems may be in "ON" mode without rest throughout our waking hours. This stress, In addition to disrupting deep sleep, saps our vitality and prematurely ages us.
Our bodies crave an antidote to this unhealthy madness.
Enter Restorative Yoga.
Restorative yoga is a gentle, slow-paced practice focused on deep relaxation and stress reduction, using props like bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps to fully support the body in passive poses held for extended periods (5+ minutes).
Restorative yoga emphasizes deep, mindful breathing and relaxing background chants to slow obsessive thinking, calm our central nervous system -- allowing it to enter the healing and therapeutic "rest and digest" mode -- and release chronic physical tension.
Restorative yoga is accessible for all people, including those with injuries, enabling everyone to find stillness, lower blood pressure, and promote overall health and well-being.
Join us in-person for four Tuesdays of deep relaxation and restoration (Jan. 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17) from 5 to 6:30pm. $80 payable in advance. Payment link will be sent once you register.
