Intro to Glass Fusing Workshop

Glass fusing is the art of stacking and melting separate pieces of glass together in a specialized high-temperature oven, called a kiln, to form a single, solid piece of art.
Come and learn how to do it!

The samples in the studio provide examples of some of what is possible using glass fusing
techniques. From Jewellery to Tableware, fun and functional objects are created through the
levels of our classes.

• Minimum age is 12 years.

The process of melting glass requires understanding the nuances of the materials, chemistry
and physics of heat and cooling over a specific time frame.
In this 2.5 hour introductory class we will create a flat tile coaster approx 4” x 4” using clear and
colored Bullseye Fusing Compatible Glass.

All projects are fired by our staff and all you need to bring is your creativity!

Your first firing will fuse the 2 vibrant layers of art glass together, while maintaining the shapes that you have designed into your piece.
