Impromptu Jam- This Sunday

Hi, Spammer Jammers,

Yes, I just decided off the cuff to set up a jam for this upcoming Sunday! October might be dicey for me so- why not NOW?!

Theme, (non-mandatory): Spontaneity/ Off the Cuff/ Fast....

Food/Drink: Bring if you feel like it. I'll have water and likely, a few tasty things, and if Tansy comes, I SHALL have Coffee! (w/ trimmin's)

Music? Oh, yeah, that. Bring it! Don't make us make it for you- get at least somewhat familiar with what you want to do... and we'll go with it. Copies welcome, but they can be a pain to copy-off. Takes time, takes up space for saving, takes money. For me- if my partner doesn't xerox mine off, I have to drive somewhere to do it. That takes, well, see above)... So- no biggie. Why?? Because you should pretty much know your song... and in a classic jam- folks don't bring music; those who can play along, do.

Type of music? I'd suggest nothing too out of the realm of the usual. What is the usual? Old or new rock, usually. Soft rock is fine. Man, a guy played Sweet Melissa- Allman Bros, last time and I almost cried. Someone else remarked that it was similar to Bread's I Wanna Make it With You. Interesting. No, we didn't do Bread's tune but we could've. That's just how soft we can go, here. We can also do All Along the Watchtower, or Zeppelin tunes. If you bring a bit of music, that will work. Ten copies? eh.... not necc. Folks can share or use their ipods or not...

Note: (Especially to singers-only-folk): This is basically, an intermediate group, but not all of us can spontaneously play a tune you want to do if it's not familiar enough or if you don't have the music. So, safe to say, it's safer to bring music.
