What we’re about

Sail out of Brisbane's new International Cruise Ship Terminal as part of a Meetup Group of friends, solos and couples enjoying the comradery of holidaying with like-minded locals.

As life gets back to normality, many people are thinking about travel options. Cruising is a wonderful choice where you unpack once, visit various ports, enjoy fabulous food, participate in a range of fun activities or just relax by the pool and do nothing at all!

Cruising has started back in Australia with the first ship arriving on 31st May at the new Brisbane terminal. Some may feel it may be too soon to cruise, however cruise lines are more prepared than almost any other tourism venue, with new health protocols and enhanced medical facilities. Around 12 million people around the world have already come back to cruising.

Partnering with Grant Hunter, a veteran of the cruise and luxury travel industry, we are excited to be bringing to Noosa and Sunshine Coast Meetups a curated selection of cruises. This will include luxury ships such as Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean. There will be options to suit a range of budgets and preferences from those looking to have their own cabin, share with a fellow Meetup member, friends and couples.

Aside from the comradery of holidaying with like-minded locals, we will enjoy group benefits such as pre-arranged seating at lounge shows and exclusive Meetup events for pre-dinner cocktails and other activities.

For those who have been considering or already traveled on their own, a key benefit of being part of a Meetup is the comfort, safety and support of being part of the group while still enjoying all the ship has to offer.

Launch events have been held in July in Noosaville and Mooloolaba and Sunshine Beach in September where members provided feedback on a range of cruise options. We are now taking bookings for our first in cruises to the South Pacific in February.

We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming briefing, and in the meantime please follow our Facebook page for cruising articles, updates and tips: https://www.facebook.com/groups/sunnycoastcruiseclub
