Botswana Trip Details & Itinerary
Botswana is a stunning country known for its diverse wildlife, captivating landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. Accommodation
3 Nights at a 3-star hotel/lodge on arrival 1x(Maun) and departure 2x(Victoria Falls)
8 Nights in tents 2.5mx2.5m, mattress and pillows provided.
This Is A Self Participation Safari - WHERE BY CLIENTS ARE EXPECTED TO HELP WITH SETTING UP THEIR TENTS, DROPPING THEIR TENTS, LOADING AND OFF LOAD THEIR BAGS
Itinerary
Day One - 12 Aug 2026
Arrive Maun - pick up from the airport & relax/explore Maun.
Optional flight in the afternoon over Okavango Delta.
Day Two - 13 Aug
Pick up from the hotel at 7.30 am - 2 hours drive to the Okavango delta.
Meet polers (polers are mokoro drivers), then embark on a unique experience across the Delta in a Mokoro (Traditional dugout canoe) 2hr to a remote Island.
Arrival at camp - camp set up - safety briefing - lunch in camp.
Afternoon activity one hour walk - then dinner
Day Three - 14 Aug
Breakfast - 4 hours safari walk - Back to camp for lunch
After lunch, bush shower and relax in camp.
Afternoon activity - walk or mokoro cruise 1-2 hr
Day Four -15 Aug
Camp break down - breakfast - get packed - we are back on the mokoros for 2 hrs back to the station.
We meet our safari cars waiting for us - We get all our equipment off loaded from mokoros and loaded on safari cars - We say goodbye to our friends (polers)
4hrs to get to the next camp (Khwai, Moremi)
Arrival - set up camp - shower/relax before afternoon game drive - then Dinner
Day Five -16 Aug 2026
Morning game drive, normal 4-5 hrs - tea stop is every day at 10 am
Back to camp for lunch - short break in camp, guests can relax or take a bush shower
Afternoon game drive and back to the camp for dinner
Day Six - 17 Aug
Wake up call by lions or hippos - camp break down - breakfast - load everything in the trailer, game drive around Khwai Moremi on our way out to Savuti 4-5 hrs drive - lunch on the road (picnic)
Arrive at Savuti - camp set up - we are here for 2 nights.
Afternoon game drive - then dinner
Day Seven - 18 Aug
Morning game drive - tea and coffee stop at 10 am
Back to camp for lunch and bush shower - guests can relax and charge their camera batteries.
Afternoon game drive - back to camp for dinner.
Day Eight - 19 Aug
Early wake up call, camp break down - breakfast - load vehicles.
Game drive out of Savuti
We have a 6 hr drive to the next camp in Kasane- lunch will be a picnic on the road - then afternoon/sunset river cruise on the Chobe river - Return for Dinner.
Day Nine - 20 Aug
Wake up to the call of hippos -
Option 1) Early morning game drive 2) Boat cruise along the Chobe River -
Breakfast will be sandwiches on boat or game drive - On return break down camp - lunch.
Then head to the border 20 min - Then drive to Victoria falls 1hr - arrive at the hotel for check in
Day Ten - 21 Aug
Breakfast at the hotel - Pick up at hotel - transfer to Victoria Falls - lunch provided at Victoria Falls restaurant - pick up at Victoria Falls return to hotel.
Day Eleven - 22 Aug 2026
Breakfast - Market visit - Airport transfer 30min - normally have to be at airport at 11 am

- 2x Mokoro cruise 2hr through the waterway of the delta
- 3x Safari walks lead by our own personal guide with a wealth of local knowledge.
- Access to portable communal shower and toilet facilities.
- A small safari team to assist you throughout your journey.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner with dessert are provided during the safari.

- Safari vehicle with a trailer, two vehicles are supplied if more than 6

- A good pair of binoculars which is essential and will make your whole experience more interesting and enjoyable
- International flights to and from the destination.
- Visa fees or any expenses related to obtaining visas.
- Dinner at the hotels (3 Nights)
- Personal expenses such as shopping, souvenirs or additional activities.
- Gratuities for guides, drivers, cooks or other service providers.
- Alcoholic or soft beverages consumed during the trip are not covered
- Sleeping bags, guest are expected to bring their own,
Flights:
All flights will go via Johannesburg/South Africa(JNB)
You will need to arrive in Maun/Botswana(MUB) on the 12th August
And we will depart Kasane/Botswana(BBK) on 22th August unless you are staying longer.
(I am looking into a multi day white-water rafting experience down the Zambezi River.)
How To Book A Place:
Cost - $205 per person per day (+- £150)
Total cost $2255 - 11 day safari (semi participation) (+-£1660)
To confirm your place a $500 deposit is required by 20/08/25 - as campsites will need to be booked 12 months in advance.
The remainder is to be paid as follows:
$500 by 01/12/25
$500 by 01/04/26
$755 by 01/07/26
