What we’re about

1. This is social hiking sunrise hiking group.
2. We do our hikes at moderate to a fast pace. Typically not a slow pace. Newbies can contact Jason Bruecks and state they would like to hike the trail at slower pace to get use to the trail. Our typical speed is 20 minutes per mile. We finish in about 1 hour.
3. We hike from the Upper Parking Lot of Rancho Mirage City and travel on Big Horn Overlook, Chuckwalla, and Road Runner Trails. There is a portion of the hike which is on road.
4. This is safe zone. Not a dating group, no politics or religion discussion. All walks of life and ethnic diversity are welcome.
5. Our hikes start early, typically are 3 miles and 450 elevation gain and drop.
6. Our morning hikes are a community service, and no fee is required. We do have a hiking group that hikes most weekends, camps, whitewater rafts, snorkels and other outdoor activities...there is an 12 month fee to join that group. Sunrise Group is free and each who joins assumes their own liability and health.
