Sunrise Paddle: Robeson Creek Canoe Launch (Jordan Lake)

We'll meet at 6:58 am at the Robeson Creek Canoe Launch in Chatham County starting with a brief introduction and safety meeting. We'll explore Jordan Lake looking for eagles, herons, egrets, turtles, snakes, osprey, otters and other interesting wildlife.

Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water with a few snacks. There are no restroom facilities at this boat launch.

Bring water, a few snacks, a hat, sunglasses and possibly a coat. I suggest leaving a change of clothes in your car in the unlikely event that you get more wet than intended.

I will bring six(6) boats with PFDs and paddles on this trip. One boat will be for me. I have a tandem kayak and a canoe if you want to share a boat with a friend.

Plan to be ready to paddle at 6:58 am (which means you need to be at the boat launch at least 15 minutes early). This is particularly important for folks borrowing a boat.
