Pinnacles NP🦅Save the Dates and Reserve Your Spot. Group Campsite 🏕️ Holds 20

Details

This is a traditional type S2S car camping 🏕️ trip! (Look at the many previous others if you don’t know the routine & need extra information.)

The group site that I have reserved is for tent camping. All of the group campsites at Pinnacles NP are for tents🏕️ So please don’t ask me about RV’s, dogs, etc. RV’s and car sleeping are not allowed at a group campsite at Pinnacles NP 🏕️ (Please see Pinnacles NP rules in photos #5 & #6.)

There are also cabins for rent at the campground, if camping isn’t your thing! 😀

You can park your car at the campsite or unload & load it at the campsite, and park it nearby (50-250 feet away) in the overflow parking by the Visitor Center & General Store. The first 5 paid have first dibs on the 5 parking spots at the group campsite: Sheila, Randy, Dana, Tammy, Steven. (Hopefully, you’re an experienced enough camper to realize that they are not going to allow us to park 20 vehicles🚗 🚙 at a group campsite that has a capacity of 20 people. Or it would just be a parking lot 😉)

Anyway, the unloading/loading can be done at the campsite and the overflow parking is not far! SO, you can bring whatever you want or need: comfy tent, sleeping bag(s), camping chair, coolers, big grills, small cook stoves, wood🪵🪵, etc.

I have two hikes planned that I have led a few times before with other groups. Please look at the first couple of map🗺️ photos: Balconies & High Peaks.

With these two hikes, you will see all of the highlights of this newest and smallest National Park gem💎! You will see the Reservoir, 2 sets of caves (40+ bat🦇 species mate & live there), High Peaks (Engineering marvel, they carved steps onto a mountain and installed hand rails for us!), and plenty of nice views. Both hikes are each only 6-8 miles in total roundtrip. One on Saturday & one on Sunday. Also, we could do a few miles on an easy flat hike right by the campground before we leave on Monday.

Pinnacles National Park, is a National Park! So someone in your vehicle needs a National Park pass or to purchase one for entry.

And, if you want to see condors, you simply go to the free binoculars at the campground 4-6 pm! You’ll see 5-6 sitting in the tree🌳 on the ridge and a bunch of their friends flying all around! They come there to “roost” every evening🦅🦅🦅

Group Campsite #129, Loop G.
This is the BEST of all the group campsites (where I have stayed a few times). You will need to put your food away. The racoons, skunks, and many deer🦌 have visited us at this particular campsite, all in less than 24 hours! So you don’t even need to go anywhere to see the wildlife!😀

We will have a poluck dinner together every evening, the first night after driving there, and after we get back from hiking on Saturday & Sunday, so bring some food to eat and share for that. Also, a little breakfast food to eat and share if you eat breakfast.

A campfire🔥 is normally allowed there. So please bring a COUPLE of bundles of wood🪵🪵 per PERSON. We will be there for 3 lovely nights!

Since only 20 people are allowed at this group campsite, you will need to pay in advance to reserve your spot for the trip. To get this group campsite, I had to reserve this campsite 365 days in advance at 7:00 am!

Each person committing & attending will be expected to pay $10/night, for a total of $30 in advance. I don’t want to have people RSVP and not attend, and others not be able to go! We can have only 20 people in total.

Please Venmo me $30
@She-Kraw

Security, to make sure that you are sending to the correct person, the last four digits of my phone number: 1920

Once paid, I will move you from the waiting list to the “going” list, so that everyone can know the numbers going and availability left.

There will not be any refunds. It’s only $30 to reserve a spot and go. And if you don’t end up going, you have already taken someone’s spot that wanted to go!

If I should end up with any money more than the amount I paid for the group campsite, it will go to extra firewood🪵🔥 We all love a campfire when camping 🥰 to warm up our feet and converse about the great day that we had together!

Going to be be a great trip— especially if you have not seen this beautiful NP before! 🥰 Sounds like a lot from S2S haven’t been there. So that’s why I said that I would do it again to take my lovely traveling friends Randy & Susan. Great times as always together !
