2¾-mile Hike on the Lost Trail, Coyote Hills, Fullerton

Join us on the Lost Trail and one of its branches in Fullerton’s Coyote Hills Saturday morning. This will be an out-and-back hike with a loop at the far end. The expected elevation gain is 145 feet and parts of this hike will be through lush foilage on a wide dirt trail. This hike also features a stream. The entry point to the trail is on N. Brea Blvd., close to Bastanchury Road.

Our departure point will be next to the Ginza Suhsi restaurant in the Morningside Plaza Mall at the southwest corner of Bastanchury Rd. and N. Brea Blvd. in Fullerton. (The anchor store is Stater Brothers.) At 10:05 AM, we will start walking to the trailhead across from Ashburn Terrace Lane.

Guests and dogs on a leash are welcome.

ABOUT THE HIKE: From the shopping mall, we proceed south to the Lost Trail; then head west/northwest on the Lost Trail; then turn south to make a loop before returning on the trail we came on. (See photo.)

DIRECTIONS: Set your GPS to 1040 E Bastanchury Road, Fullerton, 92835. From the 57 freeway, exit Imperial Highway or Yorba Linda Blvd. and drive to the address. Park in the mall. Our departure point will be from the Ginza Sushi Restaurant at the southeast corner of the mall.
