Performance of MACBETH
Few plays capture the dangers of unchecked ambition and power as vividly as Macbeth. This timeless story exposes what happens when fear overtakes wisdom and power silences the truth. Macbeth is a brave Scottish general who meets three witches who predict he will become king. Encouraged by his ambitious wife, Lady Macbeth, he murders King Duncan and takes the throne.
After becoming king, Macbeth becomes paranoid and fearful of losing power. He orders more murders, including the killing of his friend Banquo and Banquo’s family. Lady Macbeth is overcome with guilt and begins to lose her sanity.
Eventually, Macbeth’s enemies rise against him. In the final battle, Macbeth is killed, and order is restored to Scotland.

Arrive early and enjoy a picnic if you'd like—blankets and low-backed beach chairs are welcome. The Soka Bistro, located on the second floor of the Student Center next to the Campus Green, will be open from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m. with food available for purchase.
