Free Botanical Garden Hike in Laguna Niguel

Join your Sunrise to Sunset Hiking friends for our 2026 Fourth of July walk around the Niguel Botanical Preserve inside the Crown Valley Community Park. We will meet up in front of the stage at the Laguna Niguel Amphitheater at 3:30 p.m.. This is the time to secure seating for the concert if you want to stay and dance after our hike. Bring low backed chairs and a blanket to set up before our walk. We will then hike through the beautiful botanical gardens. We will be taking the best two mile nature trail hike that loops through the hills above the amphitheater. Your hosts, Susan and Kathleen, are experienced and knowledgable guides for this vast garden, and know the most exciting places to visit in this 18 acre preserve. We have paper maps for the first 10 people who arrive and ask for one and have attached a copy below in the photos. We will return to the bandstand around 5 pm. Garden maps are also available in the city office across from the amphitheater. Live music and dancing begins at 5:30 p.m.. Several food trucks will be onsite. DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Take Interstate 5 to the Crown Valley Parkway exit heading toward the ocean.... turn right into the Crown Valley Community Park at 29751 Crown Valley Parkway, Laguna Niguel. Plenty of parking will be available at 3:30 p.m..
