Private Pickleball - Beginner and Advanced Play

You're invited for Private Pickleball Play as guests of Susan and Randy Smith. You must be a member of Sunrise to Sunset Pickleball Players, as guests of your event hosts. No Plus Ones. Please RSVP and commit to arrive on time, as court space is limited.

Monarch Point residents and guests only are invited to play PICKLEBALL on our new courts recently approved by our Board of Directors and installed by the Homeowners Association on the upper tennis court fronting Ocean Way.

This invitation answers the questions: “How do I learn to play?”
and “With whom can I play?”

Susan and Randy Smith have reserved court time and are hosting play on our two courts scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 8-10 AM. Please be on time.

One court will be reserved for a FREE beginner clinic that will teach everything needed to know to play the game. Paddles provided.

The second court will be reserved for more advanced play with a protocol established to rotate players, if more than four players attend.

ABOUT PICKLEBALL: The sport has been around for over fifty years. Legend has it that three guys wanted their kids to play badminton, but couldn't find a shuttlecock.... so they lowered the net for play with a plastic woffleball. One of the moms named the game for a rowing boat that is the last to depart with only the crew chosen as leftovers from other boats. The founders named their dog "Pickles" in honor of the game, although some believe the sport was named after the dog. Pickleball is now the fastest growing sport in America!
