Thinking you might like to try orienteering but not confident to go alone?

Come along to one of these Night Nav events & we can team you up with a buddy.

Meet at the weekly venue at 5:45pm & collect your map. You then need to spend a few minutes planning your route. The aim is to go to as many “controls” on the map in either 40 or 60 minutes. You collect points depending on the control you visit (a control that is at the top of a big hill might be worth 100 points but a control near the start along a street might be worth 30 points). If you arrive back late, points are deducted for every minute that you’re late. You download the MapRun app on your phone so that your phone will beep when you find a control (most are placed at light poles). You can go solo or in a group, even bring your dog to help. Walk or run. Maps can be shared. Only $10 per map or $6 members. If you’d like to try it either enter online via Eventor link or email sunshinenightnav@gmail.com before midday each Tuesday. It truly is a fun way to get out and get some exercise and you can be back home on the couch by 7:30pm.
