This is an events and classes page for Sunshine Labs. The purpose of this meetup group is to make it easier to see the class schedule, to get a head count for how many are coming, and get members in touch with each other.
About Sunshine Labs: We started in early 2014 by a few makerspace / hackerspace members whose businesses had outgrown their garages. We needed professional-quality manufacturing equipment and light industrial space, at an affordable price to bootstrap our businesses. We figured others might need this too, and by sharing resources we could all get further together. Today, Sunshine Labs has expanded to 3 locations. We built the kind of hardware accelerator -we- wanted to join - private offices or coworking options, month-to-month membership, and no maximum time limit for membership. Members have access to equipment at all locations, including circuit board production line from PCB prototyping to automated pick n place for SMT components, laser cutters, 3D printers, and more. Some is owned by the facility; if you bring equipment and want to share it, you set the terms and the rules for your own stuff. At this point, you can basically come in with a circuit schematic file and walk out with a working circuit board, and a custom case for it, in one day. We also offer consulting for people curious about starting their own businesses. We can share our experiences, and connect you with the resources to get your project off the ground in the most affordable, practical way possible.
