Sunshine Social Hike 4/6: Sweetwater Preserve 😁☀️

Let’s enjoy an easy social hike at the place where our group began: Sweetwater Preserve! We will be hiking the Saguaro Vista Trail Loop.

This trail is a 2.3 mile out and back with 157 feet of elevation gain according to AllTrails and should take us around an hour and a half with time for pictures and breaks. It is a relatively short trail with little elevation but it has some rocky parts. This is a great trail for beginners, and it is dog friendly! 🐶

Jon will be in Flagstaff, Kate is recovering from surgery and Dave will be joining the expedition as well; our guest host for this hike will be Cindy Baker! Thanks for volunteering to lead the group for us, I’m sure everyone is going to have an awesome time 😁

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be helpful with some rocky parts. The weather forecast right now calls for mid 56 degrees at the start and mid 61 degrees by the time we finish, really excellent hiking conditions.

Parking is plentiful at the trailhead, please make sure to enter “Sweetwater Preserve Trailhead” as there is another trailhead just called Sweetwater. Let’s plan to meet up off to the side of the trail entrance around 7:50 for introductions (don’t forget that highlight of the week! 🤗) and start hiking shortly after 8, finishing up around 9:30.
