Sunshine Social Hike 9/7: Sweetwater Preserve 😁☀️

Let’s enjoy a cool and easy social hike to kick off the fall 2025 season! We will meet at Sweetwater Preserve and hike the Saguaro Vista, Lost Arrow, Spine and Wildflower Ridge Loop

The trail is a 2.4 mile loop with 203 feet of elevation according to AllTrails and should take us about an hour and 30 minutes with time for pictures and breaks. There are a few rocky spots and lots of beautiful desert scenery, this is an easy hike: perfect for beginners (and for experienced hikers to chat and reconnect! 🤗)

Please note that we will start introductions at 8am and start hiking around 8:15-8:20. In the past we did intros before the top of the hour but I don’t want anyone to feel rushed (after all, socializing is one of the main goals of the group). So now we will start our introduction circle at 8 and get started hiking once everyone has said hello 👋🏻

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles are not necessary unless for your comfort.

The weather forecast right now calls for 77 degrees at the start and 81 by the time we finish, awesome for hiking after a hot summer! This is a dog friendly trail 🐶

The trailhead is large, plenty of parking even if it’s a busy day. Please make sure to enter “Sweetwater Preserve” and not “Sweetwater” into your gps, they are two different trailheads (or put in 4005 n Tortolita)

Let’s get some brunch at Mojo Cuban Kitchen on Campbell and Grant afterwards. I’ll get a head count after the hike and we can enjoy a large table on the patio when the restaurant opens at 10
