Sunshine Social Hike 10/26: Dove Mountain 😁☀️

Let’s enjoy a fun social hike in the Tortolitas of Dove Mountain! We will be hiking the Lower Javelina and Wild Burro Short Loop

This will be a 3.0 mile hike with around 300 feet of elevation gain and will take us about an hour and half to complete. We start in the Ritz Carlton parking lot and make our way up some rocky areas on the Wild Burro trail…coming back around and down we finish up through the wash and back to the trailhead.

We will be starting introductions at 8:00am. After intros, we will begin hiking and return to the parking lot just before 10am (having taken our customary group picture at the halfway point, of course 😁)

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be useful in the rocky parts. Small elevation areas and hopefully some javelina sightings can be expected.

The weather forecast right now calls for 63 degrees at the start and 72 by the time we finish, absolutely perfect for hiking! (Mostly exposed, so it will heat up with the sun, just FYi)
This is a dog friendly trail 🐶

No fee to park, just tell the friendly Ritz guard you’re here to hike and they will guide you to the trailhead (third right, I believe)

Brunch afterward is TBA, I will get a count and try to call ahead for us (Snooze seems to do well with calling ahead)
