Sunshine Social Hike 12/14: Golden Gate Loop 9AM 😁☀️

Let’s enjoy a beautiful social hike out by Gate’s Pass! We will be hiking the Golden Gate to Chaparral Loop.

This will be an approximately 3.0 mile hike with around 200 feet of elevation gain and will take us about an hour and a half to complete. The trail is exposed, has gorgeous views and a few rocky areas with slight incline.

We will be starting introductions at 9:00am. After intros, we will begin hiking and return to the parking lot just around 10:30am (having taken our customary group picture at the halfway point, of course 😁)

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be useful in the rocky parts. This trail is completely exposed.

The weather forecast right now calls for 60 degrees at the start and 67 by the time we finish, quite nice!
This is not a dog friendly trail, unfortunately.

Parking is in two little lots and along Kinney Road, just south of Old Tucson…please check the map, gps address takes you to Old Tucson, the trailhead is just a few minutes down the road.

Feel free to enjoy brunch afterwards, I recommend Mojo Cuban Kitchen just fifteen minutes down the road (open at 10). I will be providing snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy in between the hikes, it also happens to be my birthday 😁
