Sunshine Social Hike 12/21: Sabino Canyon 9AM 😁☀️

Let’s enjoy a beautiful social hike out at Sabino Canyon! We will be hiking the Sabino Walkway Loop (with some extra exploring around Sabino Lake).

This will be an approximately 3.0 mile hike with around 150 feet of elevation gain and will take us about an hour and twenty minutes to complete. The trail starts east of the visitor center and breaks off the tram road and into some rocky inclines. We will veer down towards Sabino Lake and explore the water, taking a group picture and then climbing up towards the tram road and back to the parking lot.

We will be starting introductions at 9:00am. After intros, we will begin hiking and return to the parking lot just around 10:40am (having taken our customary group picture at the halfway point, of course 😁)

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be useful in the rocky parts. This trail is paved in parts and partly shaded.

The weather forecast right now calls for 60 degrees at the start and 67 by the time we finish, quite nice! I recommend layers.
This is not a dog friendly trail, unfortunately.

Parking at Sabino is permitted and easily available, we will be starting on the east end of the lot. Passes available onsite, online or through a kiosk next to the visitor center.

There is a small snack bus near the visitor center, let’s support local and grab some coffee and food from there after the hikes.
