Sunshine Social Hike 12/28: Sanctuary Cove 7AM 😁☀️

Let’s enjoy a beautiful social hike out by Sanctuary Cove! We will be hiking the Scenic, Passey, Packrat Trail Loop and spending a little time by the labyrinth and meditation center at Sanctuary Cove.

This will be an approximately 1.9 mile hike with around 282 feet of elevation gain and will take us about an hour to complete. After the hike, we will walk around Sanctuary Cove for 20-30 minutes (great way to reflect on the year just passed).

The hike itself is short but has a few inclines that are on the more challenging side for a social hike. Please be prepared for a little rockiness and a little incline.

We will be starting introductions at 7:00am. After intros, we will begin hiking and return to the parking lot just around 8:00am (having taken our customary group picture at the halfway point, of course 😁) We can explore Sanctuary Cove until 8:30 or so.

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be useful in the rocky parts. This trail is completely exposed.

The weather forecast right now calls for 45 degrees at the start and 50 by the time we finish, a bit chilly! I recommend layers.
This is not a dog friendly trail, unfortunately.

Parking is limited, GPS “Scenic Trail” and it takes you to the lot next to Sanctuary Cove. Let’s carpool if possible and be mindful of others while parking, please.

Let’s do a Trunk Group Potluck! Everyone bring some holiday leftovers or goodies (cookies, snacks, sweets and savories that may have been gifted and looking to be consumed…) and we can do a group grub in the parking lot 😁
