Sunshine Social Hike 1/11: Starr Pass 7AM 😁☀️⭐️

Let’s enjoy a scenic social hike in Tucson Mountain Park out by Starr Pass! We will be hiking the Hidden Canyon Bowen Loop.

This will be an approximately 2.3mile hike with around 436 feet of elevation gain and will take us about an hour and a half to complete. For a social hike, this is on the shorter side distance-wise but a little more challenging due to a decent amount of elevation and rockiness. (It is slightly more challenging than the recent Dove Mountain social hike, which had some elevation)

We start right by the resort and make our way around a scenic hill, then we hike up a little offshoot and climb 200 feet to the top, then loop back around.

We will be starting introductions at 7:00am. After intros, we will begin hiking and return to the parking lot just around 8:40am (having taken our customary group picture at the halfway point, of course 😁)

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be useful in the rocky parts. This trail is completely exposed.

The weather forecast right now calls for 41 degrees at the start and 46 by the time we finish, quite chilly! I recommend layers.
This is a not dog friendly trail, unfortunately.

Parking is free, I suggest finding a spot along the road that loops around the resort.
