Sunshine Social Hike 2/8: Sweetwater Preserve 9AM 😁☀️

Let’s enjoy a casual desert stroll at our old stomping grounds, Sweetwater Preserve! We will be hiking the Saguaro Vista, Spine and Desperado Loop.

This will be an approximately 3.0mile hike with around 200feet of elevation gain and will take us just under an hour and a half to complete. For a social hike, this is medium length and very flat.

We will be starting introductions at 9:00am. After intros, we will begin hiking and return to the parking lot just around 10:45am (having taken our customary group picture at the halfway point, of course 😁)

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be useful in the rocky parts. This trail is completely exposed.

The weather forecast right now calls for 57 degrees at the start and 65 by the time we finish, very nice! I recommend layers.
This is a dog friendly trail 🐶

Parking is free and plentiful at the Sweetwater preserve trailhead. Please note when entering on GPS, there is also a Sweetwater trailhead, make sure you’re putting in “Sweetwater Preserve”!

After the second hike, we will be enjoying brunch at Mojo Cuban Kitchen on Grant at 11:30am! Please let Jon know after the hike that you are interested so we can get an accurate count to the restaurant.
