Looking for extra work experience ahead of your next interview, promotion? This is your space to practice realistic manager 1-on-1 conversations with fellow ambitious and supportive friends.

📆 Date: Thu Sept 7

⏰ Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm

📍Location: Ada's Technical Books & Cafe @ Cap Hill

What to Expect?

💬 Example conversation: I'll kick things off by facilitating a real 1-on-1 with a volunteer - helping them resolve an issue from their personal / work life - where you can see this process and get familiar with what typically happens during a difficult management conversation.

📋 Pick template: If you want to practice classical management situations, we'll have conversation templates & scripts available for: discussing off-track quarterly goals, dealing with fear / anger, handling a drop in motivation, giving + receiving feedback. These templates are online, so bring your laptop.

🧠 Take turns: You'll be paired up with peers who want to practice similar management topics, so you can take turns wearing the "manager hat" and "direct-report hat". I'll also swing by tables and call out ways to improve your management process.

Let's start building these manager muscles to impress your next job interview!

Note: This meetup is free & open to all experience levels. Attendance is limited, so RSVP your spot now.

🚗 Parking/Transportation: Plenty of street parking around Ada's.

See you at the meetup!
