Hike at Sierra Vista Open Space, 4.5mi/964 ft, 2.5h, moderate

Let's hike this loop trail that is quite steep to provide a good workout and offers great views of the valley and the South Bay in the distance.

• Dogs are not allowed.

• shoes appropriate for an unpaved trail,

Parking lot at Kestrel Trail (googlable). We will hike Upper Calaveras Fault Loop via Sierra Vista Trail

Parking is free, but gets occupied on the lot, and no parking allowed along Sierra Road. The hike's start time at noon can promise better parking availability then morning's.

ATTN: This trail is a combination of other trails, with some intersections, so if you think you may want to separate from the group/slow down at some point, make sure you get the parks's map and get known (from the leader) how to proceed on your own, otherwise a wrong turn can lead to a different part of this large park.
