April Book Club: Days at the Morisaki Bookshop

Details
Join us this April for an evening of lively discussion at the Surbiton Literary Salon, where we’ll be diving into Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa. This hugely charming novel takes us into the heart of Tokyo’s Jimbocho district, exploring the solace found in books, second chances, and the unexpected ways literature shapes our lives.
If you’ve been thinking about joining, now is the perfect time to get involved! The Surbiton Literary Salon is steadily growing into a vibrant community of book lovers! We now regularly have at least seven at each meeting, bringing a wonderful mix of perspectives and lively discussion to our gatherings. As our group expands, so does the depth of our conversations—each meeting offers fresh insights and thoughtful exchanges that make our reading experiences even richer.
Whether you’ve read the book cover to cover or just want to soak in the conversation, all are welcome! Expect thoughtful insights, great company, and a warm, bookish atmosphere.
We'll be meeting in the private Simpson Study near the front of the pub, where we’ll discuss the book for about an hour before relaxing with drinks and continuing the conversation informally.
📚 New members welcome – no need to have attended before!
Join us for an evening of great literature and lively conversation. See you there! ✨
