Our gatherings will be lively and encouraging places for collaborative efforts. All members will work together in pairs, threes, or more to create art and play various games of chance that use a collaborative approach to unlock the surreal (i.e. marvelous) in the everyday.
We seek the fun & the fantastic in the everyday through in-person creative collaboration. Using playful & poetic tools - some dating back to childhood - like random illogical play, we aim to reach a higher reality of shared experience, a sur-reality.
This group is for those seeking to actively engage and participate in group events. This group is not for passive bystanders or those just wishing to observe.
Using surrealist techniques we'll explore the worlds of art, poetry, collage, puzzles, games, and stories. Additional events will include surrealist-themed field trips to museums, the theater, lectures, movies, and film night at a member's home.
