SCENIC WALK AROUND THE CHANTRIES, SHALFORD AND THE RIVER WEY

Join SABRE walk leader George for a 5 mile Sunday afternoon circular walk near Guildford. We start by walking around Chantries Wood then walk along an open area with some scenic views over the downs, descending to Shalford Common and returning along the pretty banks of the River Wey.

We will walk at a leisurely to moderate pace. There are a few short ascents and descents, nothing too steep. Please bring drinks and snacks if required.

We will meet at Chantries Car Park, Pilgrims Way, Guildford, GU1 3TW. Parking is free. If the car park is full, there is also free parking available in nearby roads. Please be ready to start walking at at 1pm
